The Boys & Girls Clubs of Cumberland County have the safety of its youth in mind. The youth campers in its summer enrichment program learned about Internet safety through NetSmartz. The youth also watched a NetSmartz video on not talking to, meeting up with, or going with strangers.
NetSmartz is an online safety education program that provides age-appropriate online and real-life activities to help teach children to be safer with the goal of helping them be more aware of risks and empower them to help prevent victimization by making safer choices online and offline. The program is supported through the Cumberland County Human Services Advisory Council.
