Members 1st Awarded Grant to Help Small Businesses, Nonprofits

Members 1st of NJ Federal Credit Union was awarded a grant and additional funds from the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York’s COVID-19 Small Business Recovery Grant program to help non-profits and small businesses financially affected by the pandemic.

Applicants for the funding need to apply by October 14. Qualifications include suffering a 25 percent decrease in revenue due to COVID-19 measured by comparing a two consecutive years’ federal tax returns (e.g. 2019 vs. 2020), audited year-end financial report or other supporting documentation deemed acceptable by the FHLBNY.

While following the long time, credit union belief of People Helping People, M1NJFCU is awarding grants to both non-members and members of the credit union. Everyone has been impacted by COVID-19, and the only way to achieve progress is to help as many people as possible.
