Inspira Launches Care On Demand

Connecting with a doctor at 2 a.m. on a Sunday. Scheduling a virtual visit at a time that works for you. Chatting with a doctor during your lunch break at work. All are possible with Inspira Care On Demand. The new service provides 24/7 access, via phone or video call, to a physician.

Commonly treated conditions include: Acne, Allergies, Constipation, Cough, Diarrhea, Ear Problems, Fever (ages 3 and up), Flu, Headache, Insect Bites, Nausea, Pink Eye, Rashes, Respiratory Problems, Sore Throats, Urinary problems/UTI (ages 3 and up), and Vomiting.

“We appreciate that convenience and ease of access play a crucial role in how and when people seek medical care,” said Alka Kohli, M.D., Chief Population Health and Clinical Officer. Care on Demand can be a great option when time, or timing, doesn’t allow for a trip to the doctor’s office or an urgent care center. All of the Care On Demand physicians have gone through special training on how to diagnose common conditions through a virtual visit.”

Care On Demand can be accessed by telephone (for voice only consultations), smartphone or PC. For existing Inspira Medical Group patients and people who have previously been treated at an Inspira Urgent Care, prescriptions can be sent directly to the patient’s pharmacy of choice. For others, New Jersey regulations require a face-to-face visit to receive a prescription. The service has a flat fee of $49 for a virtual visit.

Inspira Health recommends that everyone begin or maintain a relationship with a primary care provider. Care On Demand should be used as a supplement to this relationship, not a replacement. Inspira Care on Demand is not for serious or life-threatening conditions. Always call 911 if you believe you or someone with you is experiencing a medical emergency.
