Millville Goalie Tallies 100th Career Save
Millville High School varsity field hockey goalie Adriana Parent recently notched her 100th career save. She is a junior, which makes this milestone all that more meaningful. In her Millville career, besides her saves, Parent contributed to 23 wins, 14 shutouts, and has stopped every stroke attempt against her.
True to her team-first mentality, Adrianna says, “The wins and shutouts are all team efforts.”
Her leadership and dedication shine on and off the field. At halftime in a game against Holy Spirit late last month, the team showed its spirit for Breast Cancer Awareness Month by giving away MHSFH Breast Cancer Awareness t-shirts.
Parent’s twin sister Aubrey is also a field hockey player on the team.
“I’ve been a goalie since I was five,” says Adrianna. “Having Aubrey and teammates like Emmy Lewis by my side makes every game special. The game never changes, and my goal is always the same: Keep the net safe for our team.”
