Members of Alpha Delta Kappa, Phi chapter, recently held their annual Pound Auction to raise scholarship funds. Each year, members are asked to bring a wrapped gift that weighs approximately one pound to the auction meeting. Gifts are often accompanied by short poems or clues as to what is hiding in the wrapped boxes or bags. The items are then auctioned off to the highest bidder. Sometimes, the surprises are sweet, other times, not so much. Think of the “zonks“ on the old game show Let’s Make a Deal!
It’s a great event, with lots of laughs and some good old-fashioned fun. This year, the auction raised over $300. Pictured are chapter members with their winning items.
