Substitutes Sought for Vineland Public Schools

ESS, a leading national provider of education managed services for K-12 school districts, is currently seeking qualified applicants for substitute teacher and substitute paraprofessional positions at Vineland Public Schools. Interested candidates can apply online at ESS.com.

Applicants must hold a New Jersey Educator Certificate (teacher, administrator, or educational services); or obtain a New Jersey County Substitute Certificate, which requires at least 60 credit hours from a regionally accredited college or university and a criminal history background clearance. The clearance process includes an $11 administrative fee and a fingerprinting fee of up to $66.05 for those who have never been fingerprinted. Once approved by the County Office of Education, there is a $125 certificate fee payable to the Office of the Commissioner of Education.

According to ESS Regional Manager Wesley Wallace, “If you’re interested in creating your own work schedule while making a positive impact in the community, this is a perfect opportunity for you. Daily substitutes choose when, where, and how often they’d like to work with 24/7 access to our convenient online scheduling system, while those looking for steadier work can fill a long-term or permanent assignment. Either way, you can expand your network and gain valuable on-the-job experience. In fact, our employees are often first in line to obtain full-time jobs in our partner districts.”

In addition to a competitive pay rate of $110 per day for substitute teachers and $84 per day for substitute paraprofessionals, ESS provides training and offers a variety of employee benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance; a tax-advantaged 401k plan; bonus opportunities; weekly pay; employee recognition; discount programs, and more.

“ESS substitutes are equipped with a range of instructional strategies in order to meet the demands of the classroom,” Wallace said. “Our interactive training course and accessible online modules ensure employees are confident and well-prepared for their roles. With open lines of communication, ongoing employee support is readily available from our outstanding team of specialists.”

Wallace continued, “Whether you’re a recent graduate looking to build experience for a career in education, a parent looking to work the hours your kids are in school, or a seasoned teacher looking to get back into the classroom, we want to hear from you!”
