Pep Rally at VHS is Superintendent’s Sendoff

Ninth and 10th grade Vineland High School students recently held a special winter pep rally. The event began by recognizing class officers, followed by Student Government Association officers, applauding their leadership and dedication to the school community.

The crowd was then treated to performances by the VHS dance and cheer teams, showcasing their talent. Students also took part in a variety of competitive games that kept the energy high and the crowd fully engaged throughout the event.

A special moment of the rally was dedicated to honoring Mr. Alfonso Q. Llano, superintendent of Vineland Public Schools, as he prepared for his departure. Students and staff recognized his years of leadership and dedication to the district. Llano addressed the audience with heartfelt remarks, reflecting on his time with the school community and offering encouragement for the future. His positive message resonated with students, staff, and faculty, who joined in expressing their appreciation and best wishes for the next chapter of his journey.

With music, performances, games, and a heartfelt tribute, the Tanner Building pep rally highlighted the strong sense of community that defines Vineland High School. The full video of the rally is available on the district YouTube Channel, VLDSchoolsTV.

Note: Liano assumed his new position on March 1 as state-appointed superintendent of the Camden City School District.
