According to the aptly named Happy Bottoms.org, “one in three families do not have enough diapers to keep the child clean, dry and healthy.” Since this organization was created in Kansas City, OK in 2009, Happy Bottoms has continued to grow, expanding its Diaper Bank and means of distributing the diapers to families in need. They collaborate with community “partners” to pursue their mission.

The Millville Family Success Center provides many programs and community projects for children and families and they are one of these “partners” helping to distribute diapers for those in need. Louise Jones, chair of the Civic Engagement and Outreach Committee for the Millville Woman’s Club, was in communication with Ivelise Perez at the Family Success Center regarding Happy Bottoms. Then she arranged a diaper drive through the Woman’s Club. On November 1, Perez welcomed Jones and Candi Brown as they arrived to deliver diapers donated by members of the club. Perez expressed her gratitude, thanking them on behalf of the children who will benefit.
