The Alliance to Save Energy partnered with AMSA at Johnstone School in Vineland through the New Jersey EmPowered Schools program. The EmPowered Schools program educates students about energy efficiency through a project-based curriculum, saves energy in schools, and builds pathways to green jobs.

Mrs. Piccione’s fifth grade STEM students spent their second marking period implementing the program. Students have explored the basics of energy, discovered how energy and climate change are related, learned how to conduct school-wide energy audits, and had the opportunity to present what they learned with school staff and their families at home.
