Ladies of History Presents “White Woman of the Genesee”

Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2384 E. Landis Ave., Vineland. 1 p.m. A first-person portrayal by actress and historian, Alisa Dupuy, of a Native American captive, Mary Jemison. In the year 1758, while the French and Indian war was raging in the colonies, a young Scots-Irish child was kidnapped by French soldiers and Shawnee warrior raiding party. This is the story of her long eventful life and legacy living as a wife and mother with the Seneca Indians, the largest of the six nations of the Iroquois confederacy.
