Cold Stone Creamery Expands to Hampden Township with a New Location

Cold Stone Creamery Opening in Hampden

Cold Stone Creamery is expanding in Cumberland County with a new location in Hampden Township.

The store will open in April at 6042 Carlisle Pike, in a newly built shopping area that includes Dave’s Hot Chicken and Club Pilates.

Franchise owners Umash Chellappa and Subu Sathianarayanan are leading the opening.

They focus on customer experience, offering fresh ice cream in-store and mixing in custom ingredients on Cold Stone’s signature frozen granite slab

The company, founded over 35 years ago, serves ice cream, cakes, shakes, and smoothies.

Cold Stone operates about 1,500 locations in nearly 30 countries.

Locally, a store is already at 5072 Jonestown Road in Lower Paxton Township.

The new Hampden Township shop will give customers in the area another place to enjoy their favorite Cold Stone treats.

Meanwhile, Cold Stone is also celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with a special flavor that will be available through March 31, 2025.

The Lucky Charms™ Ice Cream is back.

Customers can order it as the Ice Cream at the End of the Rainbow™ Creation™, which mixes Lucky Charms™ Ice Cream with Lucky Charms™ Cereal, whipped topping, and gold glitter.

It is served in a green waffle cone or bowl.

There is also a shake version, the Sprinkled with Charms™ Shake, which combines Lucky Charms™ Ice Cream with whipped topping, gold glitter, and more Lucky Charms™ Cereal.

Both are available at Cold Stone stores nationwide for a limited time.
