On Saturday, September 3, members of the Thrivent Community at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Vineland donated a large bench for residents of the Vineland Memorial Soldier’s Home. It was placed to look out over the cemetery. Home Depot installed the pad for the bench.

The day also commemorated the signing of the peace agreement with Japan in 1945 (VJ Day) and the date that the American Flag was first flown in battle, in 1777.

The bench was purchased with the proceeds from the church’s Annual Strawberry Festival and through donations from the membership.

Redeemer serves families living in the greater Vineland area. For more information, go to RedeemerVineland.Org
