Telly Awards Go To City of Vineland, Municipal Utilities
Mayor Anthony Fanucci and VMU Director Dennis Koons display their 2025 Telly Awards.
The City of Vineland and the Vineland Municipal Utilities were both recently honored with a prestigious 2025 People’s Telly award. The awards were presented in the television category for their respective marketing commercials titled “Pro Business Approach” and “Business Thrives.”
Established in 1979, the Telly awards annually receive over 13,000 entries globally from six continents and all 50 states.
Additional winners this year included: Pixar Animation, Studios, ESPN, NATO, MTV Entertainment, Studios, NASA, and the LA Clippers.
Telly awards honor excellence in video and television across all screens from television or digital series, shows or segments, to commercials, branded content, live broadcast, and documentaries.
The People’s Telly awards are especially meaningful because they are chosen by both the Telly Judging Council, a diverse group of over 250 executives from television networks, production companies, global agencies, immersive content studios, and streaming platforms around the world; and the public.
“Through our marketing and branding efforts, we have been able to bring a positive economic development story about Vineland to a regional and national audience, “said Mayor Anthony Fanucci. “Targeted messages promoting the advantages of locating here, while showcasing our culturally, rich, family-oriented community, and our outstanding quality of life, have been viewed and heard by millions of individuals via mobile device devices, televisions, radios, social media, and print publications. I believe it has had a tremendous impact on our unprecedented economic growth over the past eight years.“
“We are truly honored to be recognized with the People‘s Telly award for our marketing efforts, “said Director of Municipal Utilities Dennis Koons. “The VMU provides unique advantages to our business and residential customers that extend far beyond the reliable delivery of essential services, and it is important that we get that message out. This includes offering significantly lower rates than neighboring utilities, reinvesting revenue back into the community, creating local jobs, quicker response times to customer needs, and the prioritization of customer service over profit.”
