Youth Organization Changes Name, Becomes Countywide

The Boys & Girls Club of Vineland has changed its name to The Boys & Girls Clubs of Cumberland County.

“Boys & Girls Clubs teach youth leadership skills and has made a huge impact on hundreds of young people in the last 15+ years,” said Chris Volker, Club executive director. “Through our Formula for Impact, we will continue that effort throughout the Cumberland County area by reaching more youth and their families/caregivers.”

Formula for Impact is a roadmap for Clubs to help ensure that members achieve the priority outcomes of Academic Success, Good Character and Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles. This formula represents the five key elements for positive youth development: 1.) A safe, positive environment, 2.) Fun, 3.) Supportive relationships, 4.) Opportunities and expectations, and 5.) Recognition.

It also incorporates high-yield learning activities, targeted programs and promotes regular attendance. Through its programs and initiatives, The Club encourages its members to reach their full potential and become successful adults.

The Club also empowers young people by providing them with access to the tools they need to build the great futures they imagine. The organization is dedicated to inspiring the next generations of engineers, thinkers, and leaders who will help drive the American economy.
