The first baby of 2022 in the South Jersey region outside of Philadelphia was born at Jefferson Washington Township Hospital at 12:58 a.m. Saturday morning. Caden Nguyen Tran—weighing in at 8 pounds, 5 ounces and 20.5 inches long—was born to Linda Nguyen and husband,
Vankiet Tran, of Pennsauken. The couple also has a three-year-old daughter, Sofia, at home.
Nguyen is a medical-surgical nurse at the Jefferson New Jersey hospital where she gave birth to Caden. She thanked her delivering OB/GYN, Kelly Park, DO; nurse midwife, Jennifer Barraclough, CNM; and labor and delivery nurses Brigith Abreu, Alena Peterson and Colease Gamble.
“I want to share my appreciation for the awesome doctors, nurses and residents who made this experience so wonderful,” Nguyen said.
