Donna Pio, left, education chairperson for the Millville Woman’s Club, introduces Alyssa Santiago, the club’s choice for Student of the Month from Millville High School for January. Alyssa has her sights set on a career in pediatric nursing and credits the AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) program at the high school for giving her confidence in public speaking and communication skills. She is enrolled in advanced courses at the high school and is a member of Student Council, an AVID Ambassador and Senior Class Secretary.
