Hindenburg Presentation at Friends of Vineland Public Library Annual Meeting

The Friends of Vineland Public Library invites the public to their annual meeting, which will be followed by a special presentation on the Hindenburg by Bill Schmidt. The annual meeting will take place on Tuesday, June 11, at 5:30 p.m., with the free program following at 6 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

Come and experience the last flight of the Hindenburg from Frankfurt, Germany, to Lakehurst, NJ, in 1937. The German passenger airship Hindenburg was the largest aircraft ever to fly. Its commercial flights pioneered the first transatlantic air service. The Hindenburg carried hundreds of passengers and traveled thousands of miles before it burned in a tragic fire on May 6, 1937.
