The Cumberland County Technical Education Center (CCTEC) Foundation proudly hosted its 10th Anniversary Celebration recently. This celebration brought together employers, community leaders, donors, families, and Foundation Board members to recognize the remarkable achievements of the school and its students.
Over the past five years, the Foundation has awarded CCTEC students nearly 400 scholarships totaling approximately $400,000, thereby opening doors for graduates to pursue enhanced educational and vocational opportunities. These scholarships have empowered students to continue their studies, acquire technical training, and strengthen the economic and social fabric of Cumberland County and beyond.
Guests were treated to guided tours of CCTEC’s facilities, showcasing the many areas of study and the cutting-edge technology that drive student learning. Culinary students prepared the evening’s refreshments, further demonstrating the exceptional skills being cultivated at the school.

“The Foundation was honored to host this milestone occasion and recognize not only the school and student achievements but also the generosity of our many donors, especially John Scarpa and the Bull family,” said Charles J. Wettstein, president of the CCTEC Foundation.
The celebration highlighted the unique role CCTEC plays in preparing students for careers that enrich the region and beyond, underscoring the vital partnership between the school, its students, its generous donors, and the community.
Alumni speakers Dante Mazzeo, Class of 2025, and Carter Schaffer, Class of 2024, reinforced the positive effect of CCTEC on their lives in and after high school.
