Big-Hearted

Inspira Medical Center Vineland, part of Inspira Health, welcomed an 11-foot-tall x 12-foot-wide blue steel heart to honor local health care workers on September 7. Local steel fabrication company Southern New Jersey Steel created, donated and installed the 5,000-pound steel heart to Inspira Health.

“As our country continues to navigate one of the most daunting health care challenges, the staff at Inspira Health has remained vigilant and committed to providing the best care for their patients and the community,” said Amy Mansue, president and CEO of Inspira Health. “This unique artwork is symbolic of Inspira’s ongoing Blue Hearts for Heroes campaign and comes at a pivotal moment as the region—and country—prepare for a potential surge in the ongoing COVID-19 battle.”

Aligned with Inspira’s Blue Hearts for Health Care Heroes campaign, the blue steel heart will serve as permanent recognition of the dedication and compassion of all health care workers in the fight against COVID-19. With a predicted surge just weeks away, the steel heart will be a visual reminder of the community’s gratitude for the tireless efforts of local health care workers.

“Inspira Health is grateful for this generous donation from Southern New Jersey Steel, allowing us and the community to further express our gratitude and support to all of the caregivers and staff going above and beyond every day during the pandemic,” said Ron Rossi, Inspira Health Board chairman. “This recognition is a reflection of all the staff at Inspira Health who continue to provide compassionate and safe care to the community and their patients.”

Inspira’s Blue Hearts for Heroes campaign was created to recognize the front-line staff’s bravery and unwavering commitment to protect the local community, asking the community to engage in acts of gratitude in support of Inspira’s fight against COVID-19.
