Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cumberland & Salem Counties (BBBS) welcomes Lauren Celona as the organization’s new Enrollment & Matching Specialist. In her new role, Lauren will assist interested youth, parents/guardians, and volunteers in initiating the enrollment process. She will also assess the needs, interest, and characteristics of youth and volunteers for eligibility and suitability for programs to help make the most complementary matches.
Lauren, a Hammonton native, earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Social Work from Rutgers University. While at Rutgers, Lauren found her passion for social work through interning and volunteering in pediatric behavioral health and a school-based youth services program.
“Helping others through leadership, teamwork, and compassion is something I pride myself upon,” said Lauren Celona. “Throughout college, I was able to discover my passion for this type of work and turn that passion into a career.”
