At a recent meeting of the Millville Woman’s Club (MWC), members celebrated the 100th birthday of longtime member Nancy Kell. She enjoyed her flowers, balloons and a beautiful cake as she received a basket full of cards wishing her well. Kell has been an active member of MWC for 69 years.
A catered luncheon was provided to thank members for their accomplishments throughout the year. A musical interlude of Disney Dazzle along with Fun Facts about Disney were provided by the MWC Chorus while members enjoyed Kell’s birthday cake.
Joan Fauver, MWC president, conducted a brief business meeting after which she and Barbara Morrow, honors chair, presented the Woman of the Year Award to Mary Miskelly, 3rd Vice President, for the work she has done on so many projects throughout the year. Joan and Barbara then presented Volunteer of the Year awards to Lana Errickson, trustee, and Joan Schmidt, recording secretary, for the for the hours they have dedicated to club activities and projects. As the meeting drew to a close, Morrow requested members to gather and a photograph was taken of all those in attendance. It was a nice way to end the last meeting of the year.
