Lauren Brunner has been added to the staff at the Cumberland Cape Atlantic YMCA as the Preschool director. The Y’s Preschool includes approximately 60 three- and four-year-olds. Brunner’s primary responsibilities are to oversee the staff and to ensure positive relationships with the children’s families.

“Everything is hands on and fun for the kids,” Brunner said. “Preschool is usually their first time away from their parents. We help with their social and emotional development.”

Brunner has held positions at the Malvern School in Washington Township, including executive director, director of Education, and lead teacher. She also worked at the Goddard School in Washington Township.

“Preschool work is what I’ve always wanted to do,” she said. “I love it.”

Brunner and her husband, Louis, have two daughters. They live in Pittsgrove.
