The Guidance Center will recognize and honor City of Vineland Mayor Anthony Fanucci at its seventh annual awards dinner to be held on Thursday, October 27, at Merighi’s Savoy Inn in Vineland.
Fanucci will receive the prestigious 2022 Mental Health Distinguished Community Leadership Award for his contributions and service in the greater Vineland/Cumberland County area. Also, he will be recognized for his work supporting education, law enforcement, first responders and veterans, and for his contribution to environmentally sustainable development while maintaining the area’s agricultural heritage.
“The Guidance Center is proud to honor Mayor Anthony Fanucci for his work, both personal and professional, to improve the diverse communities that make up Vineland and surrounding areas in Cumberland County,” says Ed Bowman, president of The Guidance Center. “We are privileged to recognize Mayor Anthony Fanucci as this year’s Distinguished Community Leader.”
A lifelong resident of Vineland, Mayor Fanucci owns and operates A.R. Fanucci Insurance and Real Estate, Inc. He has served as mayor of the City of Vineland for six years. He previously served as City Council president and is a former member of the Vineland Board of Education.
Mayor Fanucci’s dedication to improving community mental health includes passionate support for first responders and law enforcement who often find themselves engaged in critical and dangerous incidents caused by someone in mental health crisis. Fanucci has also committed himself and the resources of the City to finding solutions to homelessness, which often has mental illness and co-occurring addiction as its root causes.
