I know when I was a young girl, I went to the Landis Theatre almost every Saturday for the matinee movies. Back then the movies were cheap and so was the popcorn. We all know the movies are very expensive today, but thanks to the Levoy Theatre they are a bargain, and some are totally free! Don’t miss this fun lineup of movies for the entire family and friends to enjoy.
The Landis Theater, at Landis and East avenues, has some fun summer nights planned for your enjoyment. On Friday, July 28, “One Hit Wonders – I Love That Song!” will be cranking up your favorite tunes from the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s.
The “Battle of the Bands” Finale will be on Saturday, July 29, and the winner will be crowned.
Continue your fun on August 4 with a “Beatlemania Now” performance with the world’s Best Beatles Tribute Band. Then on August 5 don’t miss “Meat Loaf” – a tribute to the incredible performer who recently passed away.
There will be a lot of other great bands at the Landis Theater and also at The Levoy. Visit their websites to find your favorites to wrap up the summer. thelandistheater.com and levoy.net.
The summer fun doesn’t end in August! Mark September 16 on your calendars for the 32nd Anniversary Millville Car Show from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on High Street from Main to Broad streets. The show centers around antique and classic cars from bygone eras. There will also be great food at our local eateries and an ice cream truck. The Kids’ Zone will be there to delight your young ones.
