Student Life

CCTEC students have a wealth of opportunities to learn and be involved.

Student life is a rich experience here at CCTEC with many clubs serving a variety of skills and interests. Students interested in honing in on their CTE prowess, SkillsUSA and HOSA, are organizations involving students around the country competing through the technical skills they have learned in their shops and classrooms. Over the past few years, many students competed and earned medals at the state and national levels.

With all of the available clubs, students are bound to find their place. Be a trial attorney in Mock Trial or a delegate in Model Congress. Each of these teams have also taken home local and state awards. Students volunteer throughout the community with park cleanups or the annual Toy Drive during the holiday season with Interact Club. For competitive athletic students, Club Active holds monthly tournaments featuring different sports. There is also Gaming Club for the competitive drive, equipped with PCs to compete against other schools. Students with a taste for drama can join the TECnical Players. Past productions include Footloose and Little Shop of Horrors.

During a student’s time at CCTEC, they will want to make sure their voice is heard. Students can share their voice through student government. In addition to officer positions, class meetings are another way to be heard and get involved. Student Council collaborates with each individual graduating class to plan events and fundraisers such as the annual Powderpuff game, Spirit Week, CTE month, prom, and the Senior Trip. Other clubs such as GSA, Student Action Circle, LACI, IGNITE, and Youth to Youth also put on events throughout the year highlighting unity, culture, and community wellness.

These clubs are only the surface of what CCTEC has to offer. There are many clubs not mentioned that students may find interest in. Students also have the option of starting their own club if there is significant student interest.

Another aspect of student life that is afforded to TEC students lies on the fields, courts, tracks, gyms and pools of our sending district partners—Vineland, Bridgeton, Millville and Cumberland Regional high schools.

Through our partnerships, TEC students become student athletes for these interscholastic sports programs. TEC provides daily activity buses that transport our students to each sending district at the end of the school day. TEC students are valuable parts of each high school team.

More information about student life at CCTEC can always be found on the school’s social media pages such as Facebook and Instagram.
