The South Jersey Quail Project is a non-profit 501 c3 organization. It is a grass roots organization that conducts boots on the ground habitat work in an effort to reestablish the Bobwhite Quail, a native New Jersey grassland bird, to its former populations. Its numbers have declined significantly in the last 50 years. The project ensures adequate nesting, feeding, brooding, roosting, cover and overwintering areas so the Bobwhite will reestablish themselves.
They conduct educational presentations as well as attend outreach events where they educate the public. We host annual Youth Conservation/Education Days where we get the kids outdoors, involved in learning about habitat conservation, wildlife and environmental careers in a fun and interactive manner.
