She-Bikes Ride Returns to Support Salem County Women’s Shelter

DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP, N.J. – The Evelyn Hill Cycling Club will host its third She-Bikes charity bicycle ride for women at 9 a.m. Sunday, May 18.

Proceeds from the ride benefit the Salem County Women’s Shelter. Riders are also asked to bring a personal care item for women at the shelter.

The ride begins and ends at Evelyn Hill Cycling, 685 Kenyon Ave. in Rosenhayn, N.J. Riders will have a choice of 27-mile, 35-mile or 50-mile routes on quiet, rural roads in Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem counties. The routes will be marked and road support will be provided.

An after-ride party includes a free raffle. Food trucks from Julio’s on Main and Frost Bite ice cream will be on site.

To date, the ride has raised more than $8,500 for the shelter.

“This is a fun day with a great ride for a great cause – women helping women,” said club founder Barbara Kornbluh.
