Cumberland County Office on Aging & Disabled will hold a free Caregiver Conference at Rowan College of South Jersey, Luciano Center, 3400 College Dr., Vineland, NJ 08360, on Saturday, November 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The keynote speaker will be Mary Catherine Lindquist from Rutgers Health, COPSA Institute for Alzheimer’s Disease & Related Disorders. Her presentation will be “Caregiving Basics & Caregiver Resiliency.” South Jersey Legal Services will give a presentation on “Legal Issues for Caregivers,” which will include information on necessary legal documents such as power of attorney, wills and living wills, etc.
Other presentations for seniors will include “Helpful Information for Alzheimer’s Caretakers” and “Coping with Behavior Changes.” Presentations for disabled (ages 0 to 59) will be “Accessing Services & Natural Support” and “Challenging Behaviors.” Many agencies will be on-hand with information on programs and services for caregivers.
