FKBP5 Gene: Its Role in Some Holocaust Survivors, Their Offspring, and in Depression and PTSD

Landis Avenue, Vineland. 4:30–7 p.m. The South Jersey Holocaust Coalition presents an in-person and virtual presentation with guest speaker Dr. Don Marsch, PharmD, BSc, MA and consultant pharmacist. He will discuss the KFBP5 gene, its identification in certain populations, specifically some Holocaust survivors and some of their offspring. Further discussion will focus on the gene’s potential role in these individual’s concepts regarding food, depression, and post-traumatic disorder (PTSD), and drugs currently being used and being developed to block the activity of the FKBP5 gene.
