He will discuss the KFBP5 gene, its identification in certain populations, specifically some Holocaust survivors and some of their offspring. Further discussion will focus on the gene’s potential role in these individual’s concepts regarding food, depression, and post-traumatic disorder (PTSD), and drugs currently being used and being developed to block the activity of the FKBP5 gene.
