Mike Epifanio was honored recently by the Cumberland Cape Atlantic YMCA Board of Directors for his support of the organization. He completed his term as president of the Board from 2018 to the January, 2020 monthly meeting. Epifanio also served as a member of the Board, in other officers’ roles, and on YMCA community advisory committees.
His association with the organization began in his childhood, and he has carried that tradition forward with his own family.
YMCA CEO George Steinbronn, Jr. was among the many board members who congratulated Epifanio for his contributions to the organization’s growth, success, and expansion.
“We have appreciated Mike’s involvement at all levels,” Steinbronn said. “His leadership is a great example of significant, meaningful community service. We all thank him.”
Epifanio received a standing ovation as a tribute from his fellow board members. His portrait has joined those of other local YMCA leaders dating from 1902.
