The CCTEC SkillsUSA chapter hosted a contest during CTE week for the Ronald McDonald House of South Jersey, which provides a place to stay for families with children that need to stay close to area hospitals for specialized medical care. They collected nearly 1,500 items, and more than 210 pounds of aluminum can tabs, which will be used as a fundraiser to cover the costs of running the facility. Welding was the big winner, with nearly 300 items donated, and about 170 pounds of tabs collected!
SkillsUSA filled a school bus with the items collected, handmade cards, coloring books designed by students, and the materials to build a picnic table and bench for the facility. SkillsUSA thanks all those who participated in this event!
