Baruffi Receives Champion Award from NJ Health
Leslie Baruffi of Vineland has been selected as the 2025 recipient of NJ Health Hospice and Palliative Care Champion Award. Baruffi, a spiritual care and bereavement coordinator since the company started five years ago, was selected for providing exceptional service and counseling to patients, families and support of her co-workers as well.
“Having worked other places, I can honestly say I have never worked in a place where the staff is truly dedicated to the care of their patients,” Baruffi said. “Often in life the spiritual aspect is neglected. I love that NJ Health philosophy holds the spiritual component in high esteem.”
A former healthcare administrator, Baruffi has over 25 years of experience in serving the aging population, but her faith drove her to a career change and she became a chaplain. After semi-retiring she went back to school at Jefferson University to complete the chaplaincy program.
“It is such a fulfilling job to be able to be alongside our patients and their families at the most difficult time in their life,” she said.
A resident of Vineland for 50 years, she and her husband have two adult children and nine grandchildren.
NJ Health Hospice and Palliative Care is known as the community’s trusted hometown hospice, providing end-of-life care and palliative services. The care team takes pride in treating patients as family. They are located on Landis Avenue in Vineland and serve southern New Jersey families.
