Author To Visit RCSJ-Cumberland Campus

With the start of fall semester classes, Rowan College of South Jersey’s “One Book, One College” reading campaign is in full swing as this year’s selection, Ginny Moon by Benjamin Ludwig, is becoming a topic of conversation in many classrooms.

One of the highlights of the One Book, One College program is an on-campus visit by the featured author. The public is invited to meet Benjamin Ludwig during his presentation and book signing on Wednesday, October 16, beginning at 7 p.m. in the Guaracini Performing Arts Center, 3322 College Drive.

Now in its 16th year, the college’s successful One Book, One College program was designed to connect the campus and the community to promote reading for pleasure, critical thinking, global awareness and multicultural understanding.

Ginny Moon was a Barnes and Noble Discover Great New Writers selection, and named one of the 20 Best Books of 2017 by Amazon. In this debut novel, Ludwig tells the story about being an outsider trying to find a place to belong. The book was inspired partly by Ludwig’s own experience of adopting a teenager with autism.

A lifelong teacher of English and writing, Ludwig lives in New Hampshire with his family. He holds a master’s degree in English education and a MFA in creative writing. Currently he writes full-time, and serves as a mentor for the AWP mentorship program, Writer to Writer.
