Millville Public Schools and Millville High School once again extend their thanks to Allen Associates for a generous donation of $5,000 to the Class of 2023. For over 15 years, Allen Associates has provided a donation to the senior class of Millville High School through a partnership with the school PTSA, whose members dedicate the majority of their fundraising efforts to benefit graduating students.
Corey Allen and Susan Dortu of Allen Associates recently visited Millville High School Principal Jaime Sutton and PTSA officers Bethany Kavanagh and Lynn Riley to formally present the $5,000 check. Part of the gift will help fund this year’s commencement for seniors, which will look a little different for the Class of 2023.
The 2023 graduation ceremony will take place at the New Jersey Motorsports Park, a departure from the traditional location of Wheaton Field. The field is currently undergoing a large-scale renovation in preparation for the fall athletic season. A portion of the senior gift will also be awarded to the students in a slightly different venue. Members of the Class of 2023 will attend a Senior Picnic Celebration on June 13, which will include food trucks, games, and MHS branded gifts for the graduates.
The students voted for the picnic celebration after being polled by the PTSA, making many of the decisions about the games, activities, and even the type of food trucks. The donation from Allen Associates will see that the seniors enjoy the food, fun, and gifts that they deserve for reaching the milestone of graduation.
