4-H Club Teaches Poultry Care and More

Madison Stadnick and Amanda Cugino show off baby chicks that were hatched at the 2023 Cumberland County Fair.

4-H offers a poultry club for anyone in grades K through 13 (one year out of high school). If you’ve recently purchased chicks or have chickens and are interested in learning about caring for chicks and chickens, you are welcome to join the Cumberland County 4-H Chicken Tenders Poultry Club, which meets the first Tuesday of each month, at 7 p.m. at the Cooperative Extension of Cumberland County, 291 Morton Avenue, Millville.

4-H’ers learn skills besides poultry care, such as how to run a meeting, public speaking, and community service. For more about 4-H clubs, visit cumberlandnj4h.com or call the 4-H office at 856-451-2800, ext. 3.
