Zahm to Perform at Library Celtic Concert

Sunday, March 26

Celtic Concert. Charlie Zahm will appear at a 2 p.m. Celtic Concert in the Bridgeton Free Public Library, 150 E. Commerce Street in Bridgeton.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Library, the concert is free. Donations will be appreciated, and the Friends will be providing beverages and snacks prior to the concert.

Zahm, a native of Michigan, now resides in Pennsylvania and performs all through the eastern part of the United States. In addition to his rich baritone voice singing Scottish, Irish and early American traditional music, Zahm plays a guitar, tin whistle, bohdran and other instruments during his concerts.

A great storyteller, he also entertains his audiences with humor as he explains the material he is singing.

The library friends sponsoring the event was established as a non-profit group to provide the local library with different programs (both adult and children), purchase up-to-date books and other materials, and supply technical support for both the staff and patrons.

Funding for the concert has been made possible in part by the NJ State Council on the Arts/Department of State and the Cumberland County Board of Commisioners through the Cumberland County Cultural and Heritage Commission.
