Blake Trabuchi-Downey has been named to the Board of Directors at the Cumberland Cape Atlantic YMCA. He is a dentist with Trabuchi and Trabuchi, DDS, in Vineland. He also resides in Vineland.
The new Board member is a graduate of St. Augustine Prep, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and Temple University School of Dentistry. At Virginia Tech, he was awarded a swimming scholarship and Magna Cum Laude status. At dental school, he earned awards for general dentistry and surgery anesthesia, plus Cum Laude status. He joined his father’s dental practice as the third generation and fourth member of the family to do so. The practice began in 1929, two years after the YMCA was started in Vineland.
Trabuchi-Downey said, “I look forward to giving back to the Y…. I began swimming year-round at the Y as a six-year-old. My mother swam there, and my father played basketball, too. I realize how much the Y did for my family. I hope that I can help to give other families similar experiences as we had. It’s important for the broader community.”
Board president Mike Epifanio said, “We are pleased that Blake has joined us. He brings knowledge of the community and of the Y to our Board. He also brings enthusiasm and competence. We know he’ll add a lot to our top-rate group of members.”
Trabuchi-Downey is engaged to marry Annie Farnoly. His hobbies are primarily the beach, cooking, and yard work.
