The Woman’s Club of Vineland, recently learned about the Harriet Tubman Museum, located at 632 Lafayette Street in Cape May. The speaker, Lynda Townes, a board member of the museum gave an interesting presentation about the historical building that was going to be demolished and made into a parking lot and how it was saved to become the Museum.

Harriet Tubman was a shero and worked in Cape May for two summers to make money for her trips back to Maryland to bring slaves to the north. When you go to Cape May make this a spot to tour, since it is right in our community.
