Two Earn ‘Good Kid’ Awards

Good Kid Awards were presented to Gerlon-Sincere Hilton-Pressley, left, and Paola Perez-Miguel.

Millville Woman’s Club (MWC) shows support for education in many ways and also focuses on good citizenship. MWC’s Irene Decker “Good Kid” Award demonstrates this. Recipients of this award are students who have been selected based on their conduct, grades, character, and helpfulness to the entire school community. 

On June 19, Gerlon-Sincere Hilton-Pressley and Paola Perez-Miguel were presented with “Good Kid” awards at Lakeside Middle School during the Step-Up Ceremony as middle school students prepare to move on to high school. 

Gerlon-Sincere has been a straight A student this year. He enjoys gaming, music, and reading and says he may play football in high school. He plans to go to college to study engineering.  

Paola has been in AVID, was on student council, played on the lacrosse team, was in a musical and assisted in stage crew, plays in the symphonic band and plans to be in color guard next year in high school. She enjoys animals and hopes to become a veterinarian.
