This Month at Riverfront Renaissance Center for the Arts

“Paris Metro” by Marion Lotka

Opening reception is July 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. Join us to experience the art, meet the artists, enjoy refreshments & live music by Jody Janetta, Danny Osterweil & Clint Rhubart

Main Gallery – “People Movers – Visions of Motion” We asked our artists: “What moves you or others, literally, in other words physically, or what causes you or others to be moved emotionally, such as causes, events, happenings and so on.” What a variety of creative works within this show!

Witt Gallery – “HOT, HOT, HOT” Not only is it a mid-summer heat wave, come out to see HOT depicted in art, whether that be summer scenes, or HOT as the method of making the art including glass, welding, stained glass works, or ceramics.

Atrium Gallery – The Maurice River Group Show & Studies: This group of artists works on location with instructors, along the scenic Maurice River or Barn Studio Pond, and spends time with other artists at daily painting sessions. The results are studies by participating artists, displayed here at RRCA with a grouping of finished art works as well.

Associate Artist Alcove – Works by Susan Lore and Joy Newland.

Gift Shop: Visit our recently updated year-round gift shop featuring artist made pieces in all mediums: jewelry, prints, books, wall art, ceramics, and more. Support local artists through your purchases.

Also, don’t forget to pick up an Art Crawl map at one of seven participating 3rd Friday locations; get 4+ stamps, drop off at one of the locations and you will be entered to win an art glass piece by Tricia Dufford, courtesy of LaBottega.

Regular hours: Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m.–4 p.m. Visit website for artist opportunities, community events, and more: rrcarts.com
