CCTEC graduate Alfredo Cortazar was enrolled in the automotive technology program and had a desire to work on diesel engines. The school partnered with Samuel Coraluzzo, Co. & Torrissi Transport, LLC as they were looking to hire mechanics with aspiration to grow in the field.

Alfredo began as an entry-level diesel technician, doing preventative maintenance during his senior year through CCTEC’s “School To Work” program. His skill level progressed and his perseverance to excel in his career gave him the opportunity to land a permanent position following graduation.

Robert Penza, owner of Samuel Coraluzzo, Co. and Torrissi Transport, LLC., held a surprise signing ceremony to welcome Alfredo as a full-time employee. Robert also provided Alfredo with a $1,000 check towards his tools.
