Shredder Event in Buena Vista Township Set for September 18

On Saturday, September 18, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Buena Vista Township Environmental Commission and Clean Communities will be hosting their annual shredder event. This is a perfect opportunity for Buena Vista Township residents to securely destroy confidential documents and records, and to protect themselves from identity theft while cleaning out unnecessary clutter.

As an added bonus, the Commission will also have a small electronics drop off available that day. Items such as keyboards, mouses, computer towers, monitors, TVs and VCRs, can be brought and we will discard them for you.

You can also safely discard your old prescriptions that day. Bring those old or expired prescriptions with you and one of our volunteers will place them in the Prescription Disposal box located inside Town Hall.

Buena Vista Township is always concerned about safety, so remember to maintain “Safe Social Distances” and masks are required. You will be asked to stay in your car while volunteers remove your boxes for you.

There is a limit of three boxes per resident or business. Empty boxes cannot be left behind, they will be returned to you. Newspapers, magazines, phone books, binders, and accordian files cannot be accepted. For more information, call the clerk’s office at 856-697-2100, ext. 1.
