She-Bikes Raises $6,000 for Salem County Women’s Center

The 2025 She-Bikes bicycle tour for women raised more than $6,000 for the Salem County Women’s Center.

Members of the Evelyn Hill Cycling Club, which sponsors the annual May ride, presented a check for the proceeds to Brenda Lore-Randazzo, residential coordinator for the center, on June 23 at the Evelyn Hill Cycling store.

The 2025 proceeds bring the total raised for the center to almost $15,000. This year’s ride also had some new sponsors, including OceanFirst Bank, Lilliston Ford and the Grungo law firm foundation.

“We are so proud of how this ride has grown to support the women’s center,” Barbara Kornbluh, owner of Evelyn Hill Cycling, said. “We are grateful to all the women who ride and the many local businesses who continue to support us and the center with door prizes and donations.”

Lore-Randazzo said the proceeds from the rides have had a major impact on the center. They have used the money to buy new furniture, appliances and supplies for the center and to support victims of domestic violence as they begin new lives.

“Just being able to go out and buy sheets and towels in bulk and keep our food pantry stocked has a huge impact,” Lore-Randazzo said. “We are so grateful for this continued support.”

Al Fisher, vice president and branch manager at OceanFirst Bank’s Vineland location, said the ride is a great event for a great cause.

“OceanFirst is proud to support the work of the women’s center,” Fisher said. “And everyone had such a great time at the ride. It’s a wonderful, fun event.”

The 2026 ride is scheduled for Sunday, May 17.

The Evelyn Hill Cycling club is open to all women who enjoy cycling the rural roads of southern New Jersey. Weekly rides are adapted to the skills of the riders and are held Monday and Thursday evenings at 6 p.m. and Saturday mornings at 9 or 10 a.m..
