Second Friday: Bayshore Center at Bivalve

On Friday, August 8, enjoy great food from the Oyster Cracker Café, including fried oysters, oysters on the half shell, and local beers from Glasstown Brewing Co. at AJ’s Pub. Also, there will be free, self-guided tours of the Delaware Bay Museum, an interesting speaker, and live music. Check out the Meerwald Mercantile while you are here. All proceeds go to support the Bayshore Center at Bivalve, home of AJ
Meerwald and the Delaware Bay Museum.

Live music on the docks from 5 to 8 p.m.: The Acoustic Breeze Trio will present dockside “Yacht Rock,” featuring easy listening pop-rock and country hits from the ’60s to contemporary.

Speaker: ReClam the Bay with Cheryl McCurry in the Delaware Bay Museum at 6:30 p.m. Presentation of bay animals and their predators. What ReClam accomplishes by raising clams, oysters, and scallops in upwellers (shellfish growing tanks) around Barnegat Bay.
