Ribbon is cut on revovated Vineland Senior Center, which has already reopened.
Friday, February 13 didn’t bring bad luck. It brought a beautiful sunny day for the ribbon-cutting of the newly renovated Vineland Senior Center.
Located at the corner of sixth and Elmer Street, this historic building was once Vineland’s free public library. It transitioned to a senior center in the 1970s when a new library was built on Landis Avenue.
A red white and gold, balloon, arch welcomed Mayor Anthony Fanucci and Vineland City Council members. Mary Barner and Tricia DiLisciandro, who run the senior center, ceremonially cut the ribbon of the newly renovated center.
The inside was just as festive. Guests took self-guided tours of the renovated space. New windows, furniture and carpeting are some of the improvements.

Following the ribbon-cutting, a celebration party was held at the Vineland convention center, which included lunch and entertainment.
The Senior Center reopened on Monday, February 23. The center provides a variety of engaging, free programs, including specialized art classes, chair exercises, bingo, and holiday celebrations. It works to enhance the quality of life for seniors in the area through social interaction and community partnerships.
The Center is supported by the City of Vineland, with activities coordinated by the local recreation department.
