Courtesy of a grant from Verizon TCC, Project Thanksgiving was able to fully sponsor a field trip to Millville Army Air Field Museum for 22 Vineland High School Air Force Junior ROTC Cadets and their instructors. First, they were treated to breakfast at Verna’s FlightLine Restaurant. Then, they were provided with a personal tour of the Museum. The tour included several buildings which house the Museum, and about 12 airplanes, jeeps, tanks and simulators. Afterward, Project Thanksgiving donated $2,000 to the museum to help cover the expenses of enhancing its security system, courtesy of the grant. Museum Executive Director Lisa Jester accepted the generous donation. Thank you, Verizon TCC, for making this possible!
Project Thanksgiving is a 501c3 nonprofit organization which provides food and monetary assistance to veterans organizations and food banks throughout much of South Jersey.
