Project Thanksgiving Assists Vietnam Vets

Senator Ed Durr, Alex Kaganzev, Founder Project Thanksgiving

State Senator Ed Durr presented Alex Kaganzev with a Joint Legislative Commendation on behalf of himself and Assemblywomen Bethanne Parker and Beth Sawyer. Kaganzev was honored for his work with his non-profit Project Thanksgiving, his service as a veteran, and the assistance he provides to other vets during the year.

The Project Thanksgiving Team is starting off its 14th annual turkey drive by sponsoring a Salute to Vietnam Vets & Open House at the Forgotten Warriors Vietnam Museum in Cape May. Refreshments will be provided. Guest speakers will say a few words in honor of the founder of the museum, Tom Collins, and his desire to honor the legacy of Vietnam veterans. Tom was a Vietnam vet who sadly passed away several months ago. His family has assumed responsibility for the musum’s operation and expansion. Afterward, guests will be invited to tour the museum and adjoining chapel. The date is Saturday October 8, from 1 to 3 p.m. The event is free, but seating is limited. Contact Alex for details or to reserve seats at 609-774-2499.
