O’Brien’s ‘Favorite Things’ Art Exhibit at Vineland Public Library

During the month of June, Vineland Public Library, 1058 E. Landis Avenue, is featuring an art exhibit titled My Favorite Things by artist Christine O’Brien in the Doris Tripp Room of the library. The exhibit includes original oil paintings, oil pastel paintings, and paper collages. Most of the art is available for purchase.

Christine O’Brien graduated from Stockton State College with a BA in Visual Art, majoring in graphic design. After receiving her degree, she has worked as a graphic artist for print shops, taught children’s art classes, and exhibits her work with many local art galleries.

She has a permanent collection with the Healing Arts Program at several Atlanticare locations and has participated the last three years in the 48 Blocks Program with the Atlantic City Arts Foundation designing and painting Adirondack chairs. Her bold, vibrant work, using oil pastel, oil paint, and paper collage, is inspired by nature and trips to New Mexico.

Christine is a member of Gallery 50, Society of New Jerseys Artists, and an Associate Member of the Riverfront Renaissance Center for the Arts.

Former solo exhibits include Village on High in Millville, Great Bay Art Gallery in Somers Point, Ocean City Arts Center, and the Nashville North Art Gallery in Linwood.

The exhibit may be viewed during regular library hours: Monday-Thursday 9-7:30; Friday 9-5 and Saturday 10-2; closed Sunday. All areas of the library are handicapped accessible.
