NPS-AID Announces Inspira Health as its First Trusted Healthcare Resource in the Nation
The National Public Safety Alliance for Individuals with Disabilities (NPS-AID) is proud to announce a collaboration with Inspira Health, a leading healthcare organization in southern New Jersey. Inspira Health is NPS-AID’s first trusted healthcare resource in the nation. This collaboration will improve communication between public safety personnel and individuals with disabilities or special needs. This groundbreaking initiative advances both organizations’ shared mission of ensuring accessibility, safety, and positive outcomes when community members interact with law enforcement, EMS, and other first responders.
“We are thrilled to join forces with Inspira Health, a healthcare leader sharing our values and dedication to improving communications with public safety personnel,” said George Chopek, President of Online Policing Solutions, Inc., oversight and management group for NPS-AID. “Establishing this relationship and expanding this program with healthcare providers helps us reach a larger patient population strengthening the infrastructure supporting individuals with disabilities in emergency situations.”
Inspira Health will promote the work of NPS-AID and encourage community members with disabilities and special needs to join the NPS-AID platform, a confidential network made available to participating law enforcement and other public safety agencies.
NPS-AID aims to strengthen connections between individuals with disabilities and the public safety officials that serve them. Its network shares key details about an individual’s communication needs, giving responders the tools to engage more effectively and ensure safer, more positive interactions and outcomes.
“Inspira Health is committed to ensuring everyone receives safe and compassionate support and care,” said April Venable, Senior Vice President of Operations Strategy and Transformation. “This initiative with NPS-AID aligns with our core values and creates an opportunity for us to promote this critically important work. We are proud to be the first health system in the nation to work with NPS-AID and look forward to creating meaningful change together.”
