RLS Logistics, a leading temperature-controlled third-party logistics (3PL) provider, is increasing their Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) fulfillment capabilities to keep up with growing demand. The plan includes the renovation of two current facilities, while the company also contemplates acquiring a new location in the Midwest.
As part of the current expansion program, RLS recently completed renovations to their existing Salt Lake City, Utah logistics center, which will allow the facility to accommodate additional fulfillment lines.
According to Ken Johnson, executive vice president, Warehousing Group, “With Phase One of the project complete, we are beginning similar renovations to our East Coast logistics center in Newfield, which will more than double its capacity as well. As part of the renovations, we are adding a new dry warehouse location nearby in Vineland, which will handle packaging and other ambient items currently housed in Newfield. We expect this second phase to be completed and operational in the first quarter of 2020….”
